In 2005 he joined Bobby Durham’s Trio until Durham’s death in 2008. Leotta played Bass for Archie Sheep, Benny Golson, Jimmy Cobb, Mickey Rocker, Michelle Hendrix and many others.

Since 2014 Leotta has called Berlin his hometown, here he is involved in many international musical projects. As musical director Leotta cultivated Programs at "Badehaus" and "Neueheimat", as well as performed with numerous bands in A-Train and B Flat. Equally as a Bass player he has toured Germany with various projects.

As a leader he wrote arranged and recorded music for small Jazz Combos and Big Bands.

His current Project is the Hybris Dudes.

Most of their songs are old Jazz Standards rearranged for this unique Trio. With Counterpoint and Syncopation there is a magical push and pull feel to the music.  The result is modern European Jazz take on older American Jazz Tunes.
